Martin, a poor student, volunteers to go on a quest to find a cure for the princess Adriana, who is stricken with a strange illness. Unknown to Martin or anyone else, the princess is actually under the spell of the powerful magician Andlobrandini, who is preparing a rejuvenating elixir made from the blood of nine men's hearts.

Julie, the youngest daughter of a bankrupt merchant, sacrifices her life in order to save her father. She goes to an enchanted castle in the woods and meets Netvor, a bird-like monster. As Netvor begins to fall in love with Julie, he must suppress his beastly urge to kill her.

The fisherman Fuksa fishes in the creek an old bottle and he sells it to innkeeper Merta. When Merta opens it, a genie appears, who can fulfill all his wishes.

Замечательная веселая комедия — абсолютно вольное переложение марктвеновского «Тома Сойера» на чешский лад. Соответственно, тут Тома зовут Томашеком, его друзей — Губерт («аналог» Гека) и Йожка (марктвеновский Джо Гарпер), а Бекки Тэтчер — Бланка. И дело происходит в Чехии в 1900 году.

Tóna Bohácek (Pavel Landovský) has been a great worry to his mother, Mrs Bohácková (Stella Zázvorková). All his friends equal in age are already married and some of them even have children - only Tóna still has nothing. Mother Bohácková thus publishes an ad in the Lonely Hearts column on behalf of her son. From among the girls who responded, she picks out Janicka, a girl from the neighboring village, and then forces Tóna to go to have a look at her and bring her home. The date of the two young people, however, does not turn out well due to the embarrassment on both sides, and Tóna returns home drowning in the feeling of ridiculousness. On the way, he picks up hitchhiker Kveta (Regina Rázlová) from Prague. Only then, he realizes that the mother with her festive dinner is waiting for him and Janicka at home and thus asks Kveta to substitute for the girl from the ad.

After a series of dramatic peripeteias, Slavoj takes the field so weakened that he is caught up in the dreaded failure. In addition to actors Martin Růžek and Bohumil Šmída, Machov's film appeared real footballers Dukla and period sports stars (e.g. František Plánička).

When a man stops at a motel one evening in 1961, his tormenting behavior drives one of the people present at the motel to remember his experiences in a concentration camp during WWII.

Его молодая вдова Хэдвинка и младший сын Вацлав любят друг друга и пытаются всячески освободиться от гнёта деспотичного отца...

О том, как пионеры Чехословакии подарили своим гостям — вьетнамским пионерам — забавного медвежонка Брумло, а те в свою очередь прислали в Пражский зоосад маленького слонёнка. Взаимные подарки содействовали укреплению дружбы между ребятами этих стран.

Комедия состоит из трёх новелл. Первая рассказывает о быстром продвижении по служебной лестнице одного карьериста — трусливого, чванливого и бестолкового человека, умеющего ловко спрятаться за пышными фразами о народном благе. Вторая новелла посвящена приключению критика, который пишет рецензии на стихи, не имея о них собственного мнения. Третья новелла описывает похождения бухгалтера, который предпочитает ни с кем не ссориться и со всеми соглашаться.

Dog's Heads (Czech: Psohlavci) is a 1955 Czech drama film directed by Martin Frič, based on the novel of the same name by Alois Jirásek. It was entered into the 1955 Cannes Film Festival.

Медик Ян Янский успешно заканчивает учебу. Он хочет стать хирургом, но оказывается в психиатрической клинике профессора Каффнера, где он и его коллега Коздера пытаются найти связь между свертываемостью крови и психическими заболеваниями. Неожиданно было обнаружено, что кровь человека можно разделить на четыре группы, что предотвращает свертывание крови при её переливании. Однако открытие Янского встречает недоумение со стороны чешского медицинского сообщества, которое признает вклад этого ученого в медицинскую науку только после его трагической смерти.
