Dedi (Dede Yusuf), who married Menul (Ayu Azhari), when they were very young, tries to make a living as a clown at an amusement park. This job does not pay enough for him to make ends meet, so he and a number of his friends try to find a way out of the poverty they are trapped in. The opportunity comes when they find a the wallet of a wealthy man, who is impressed when they return it to him, and provides them with the capital to open a food stall, which they use as a stepping stone toward opening a restaurant. Through this story, the director, Chairul Raya, attempts to depict the way of life of the poor, while using the subplot of the love story between the clown and his wife to display his disdain for the mainstream tendencies in the Indonesian film industry. This film is at once moving and humorous.

Arya Dwipangga (Baron Hermanto) is disturbing the kingdom of Majapahit in order to wreak revenge on Kamandanu (Sandy Nayoan), while the kingdom assumes that the troublemaker if Mpu Bajil (Wingky Haroen), who is preoccupied with learning the teachings of Aji Segara Geni. Ateng and Iskak try their fortune in Jakarta by working as helpers for Bagio, who makes fun of them all the time. Then, they meet Vivi and Erni whose car breaks down and they help to pull the car to their house. After getting a job from the girls, Iskak starts to dream about Erni. Iskak tells Ateng about his dream and the father overhears this. So they are both fired. But the house servant, Ardi, gives them an address of his relative, Diran, who owns a garage. They get the job and on one delivery, they meet Vivi and Erni, who brings them back to work at home, at the request of their father. There are funny musical scenes in the film, one of which features three songs in a row.

The bizarre Arif family usually stay holed up in their old house... for good reason! The clan includes a daughter who's nearly catatonic during the day but a nympho at night, a son who's a violent bully, another son who's a sex maniac and a psychologically abusive matriarch who's both an aunt and a stepmother to the children because she murdered her own sister and then married her brother-in-law. A psychology student who's looking into matters has his work cut out for him.

After a long absence, Siti returns to her childhood village to stay with her widowed aunt Nyi Aminah. Siti quickly becomes suspicious of her aunt’s newfound wealth after she sees a necklace that belongs to someone else in her aunt’s closet. Meanwhile, Sulaiman is given the assignment of investigating the deaths of voluptuous women with wounds found on their breasts, plus find out what became of some missing corpses.

Riding a white horse, Purbaya, the horseman from Cimande, comes to Sukajadi in search of his parents’ graves. There he runs into an old man who tells his past story. Purbaya is the son of Hamidah and Meureksa, who were murdered by Argasuta. Argasuta was in love with Hamidah and he sent Hasan Botak and Bagus Bantar after her. Upon hearing this, Hamidah turns hysterical and tries to kill Argasuta. But he survives, and Hamidah instead dies in the hands of his underlings. Then the story returns to the present where Purbaya takes his revenge on Argasuta. The film is filled with blood, castrated limbs, and exploding organs.

Oni is an orphan who is born blind. She is adopted by a cart puller. Despite of his blindness, Oni can cure diseases. So when her adopting parent dies, someone else takes care of her. But ever since her village is pillaged Oni lives on as a wanderer.
