Ten-year-old Axel lives with his mother and three sisters in a flat in Buenos Aires. They’d be a perfectly normal family if only the mother weren't imprisoned in one of the rooms.

Madly explores love in all its permutations in six short films from a vibrant group of filmmakers representing Japan, Argentina, the UK, the US, India, and Australia. All forms of love are on display in this anthology. And all manners of feelings expressed from jubilance to depression are done so strongly.

Six twenty-something friends are spending New Year's Eve at a summer house at the river. The host, Nicolas (writer and director Martin Piroyansky, XXY), brings his ex-girlfriend Pilar (Inés Efron, Empty Nest, XXY) with whom he just had a one-night stand. But, Nicolas hits on every other girl including the brooding Cata (Vera Spinetta) and the voluptuous Belén (Justina Bustos). When Nicolas unexpectedly falls into bed and then into love with the high-strung Manuela (Violeta Urtizberea) who also happens to be his best friend's girlfriend, the last laugh is on him.

Ana is a woman who has a love affair with her best friend's ex-husband, in a film about love, friendship, loneliness, fear, guilt, and the world of women.

In a small town near the mountains of Argentina, Juana tries to commit suicide but ends up in a coma instead, to the great pain of her daughter Marta. Her other daughter Mercedes comes from Buenos Aires but is less interested in her mother's condition than in possibly getting her money. Marta's husband has a great offer for a piece of land owned by Juana, but can't do anything while she is in a coma.

Fragments of a Saturday winter day. The Vittenzein brothers are alone at their family house. Mateo stops by to pick up Bruno and Camilo and drive them to the country house where their mother awaits. A sudden break slam brings them into the intimacy of a waste land.
