One day, Happiness and Sorrow come to town. Happiness leaves her magical cloak in the local inn, saying that it fulfills every wish to those who wear it. However, Sorrow knows that Happiness doesn't come alone, but brings worries with herself, too. The magical cloak changes its owner and fulfills the most unusual wishes of timid professor of violin, old night guard, naive student and blonde girl. When all their wishes are fulfilled, they find out that they did not achieve happiness.
Young scientist Zare and his wife, a theater costume designer Mira, live in a rented apartment where they were under the pressure of curious and disturbing neighbors. Once Zare was given the keys of the Ethnographic Museum in Ohrid in order to sort out the situation in this museum, this means escape for the family.
В основе фильма лежит действительный факт — весной 1957 года на автостраде Белград—Загреб по вине неизвестного водителя легковой автомашины произошла тяжёлая катастрофа, в результате которой восемь человек погибло, многие ранены.
Павел Боянич погиб в концлагере. После его смерти сестре Павла передали записку: "Если я не вернусь, ищи Ванду Кос". Не зная, как понять слова брата, Ольна решила, что Ванда Кос виновата в его смерти. В результате долгих поисков выяснилось, что и Ванда Кос также убита фашистами. В конце концов удалось установить, что виновницей гибели Павла и Ванды была некая Ивка. Во время фашистской оккупации Ивка была еще ребенком и бессознательно выдала Павла и Ванду.
