Mario Colomer, prime minister, is burdened by overwork. His problems seem solved when his assistants tell him about Juan Brandel, a possible substitute, just like him physically, but with a funnier and more adventurous personality. At first the plan seems to work and the politician begins to gain popularity. The plot thickens when the 'original' becomes jealous of the 'copy' and the substitute exceeds his functions.

Just before the wedding, Don Candido leaves claimed by its industrial businesses, and instructs his friend to take care of his bride. Nico and Kitty end up falling in love. An animals' collectionist is despised by his wife so that he decide to comeet suicide, but the notice about the death of his brother, a pianist who lives abroad makes him change his mind. He makes his family think that he has commited suicide and some days after announce the arrival of his brother and he impersonate him. His wife recibes him with an affection that he was unaware to.
