Many years ago, in a nearly deserted town at the foot of a mountain, lives Agostino with his wife Nina and his son Giovanni. The mountain rises up like a wall blocking out the sun that never reaches their fields below, now reduced to just stones and underbrush. Agostino, even though everything suggests him to leave, decides that the destiny of his family is there, among the peaks. He is not only driven by stubbornness, but by the certainty that our roots cannot betray us and that with the help of our spirit we can bring the sun on every destiny.

In the library of Bologna's prison, a group of Muslim prisoners participates in a course organized by teachers and volunteers about the Italian Constitution. A young Arab waiting for his sentence to be up is grappling with "the winters and springs" of freedom and a future to rewrite. A journey inside and outside the prison, to recount the illusions and hopes of those who have dreamed and continue to dream of a "fairer world."

Знаменитый фильм Параджанова «Саят-Нова» был исковеркан советской цензурой и получил название «Цвет граната». Негатив оказался изрезан, любовные и эротические сцены изъяты а движение весьма стройного сюжета переделано и запутано. Спустя 40 лет, несколько вырезанных цензурой эпизодов таинственным образом нашлись в одном из темных подвалов киностудии «Арменфильм». Левон Григорян, работавший с Параджановым ассистентом на этом фильме, восстановил видео версию оригинала фильма и рассказал увлекательную историю его трагической судьбы.
