Режиссёра Юсукэ приглашают поставить «Дядю Ваню» для театрального фестиваля в Хиросиме. 21-летняя Асако встречается со свободолюбивым молодым человеком Баку. У них вроде бы всё хорошо, но однажды тот неожиданно исчезает. Через 2 года, уже в Токио, девушка встречает парня точь-в-точь похожего на её бывшего бойфренда. Только зовут его Рёхэй, работает он на обычной работе и обладает спокойным характером. Асако влюбляется в нового знакомого.

Mutsuko has been living on an island to which her grandmother and mother have restricted her from leaving. To Mutsuko, the symbol of her freedom was Dreamland, an amusement park on the mainland, but she learns it will be closing permanently this year. Meanwhile, Wataru returns to the island after nine years due to a job transfer. A pupil of his deceased father pays him a visit and tells him about a side of his father he did not know about.

Hazuki and Aoi are classmates but their relationship outside class is fraught, and outside school non-existent. But when both girls are drawn to helping an elderly woman, they're forced to interact, confronting their differences and similarities as well as their deepest secrets.

Noboru runs a real-estate agency in a provicial Hokkaido mountain town. He is despised by the locals for his aggressive business practices. They have feelings for each other; however, Yujin's ability turns out to be a cursed, harmful one. He leaves home with Naomi... This unique science fiction film portrays their desperate love story spanning ten years.

Yoshinaga, a real-estate agent, has a young female customer one day. She asks him to take her to the apartment where she used to live. When he plays a videotape left in that cavant room which shows some signs of its ex-resident, Yoshinaga gets lost in another fantastic world. After a while, Yoshinaga and the girl come back to their respective daily lives... A pop, colorful, yet at times a heartaching road movie, which leads to elsewhere.

Based on four early novellas by Noble Prize winner Yasunari Kawabata, this omnibus of four short films are by emerging directors from the second graduating class of the new Graduate School of Film and New Media at Japan’s top art school, Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Tokyo Geidai), where famed directors Takeshi Kitano and Kiyoshi Kurosawa teach.
