A troubled ex-con joins the colorful crew of an old movie theater and begins to rebuild his life, only to find his faith in God tested when he learns the theater he has grown to love is not what it seems.
A young boy lives in a town where Death himself, an old man who rides a black bicycle, travels around collecting people's souls. The boy must wrestle with his own anxieties about death as the old man's presence becomes more than he can bear.
