A very dynamic young lady, Lin, has a thing for Japanese culture while living in Taiwan. Following the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, Lin got a Facebook message from a Japanese guy, Mogi who has been curious about the Japan-friendly country since then. The two start to interact through Facebook. During the golden week holiday, they finally met in person in Taiwan. Time passes quickly when they're together. After their first date, things seemed to move forward at the speed of light. They spent more time talking about their hopes, dreams, fears and finally came to a decision together to try and make things work, despite the circumstances.
Shinnosuke and Misawa are joint managers of a Bonsai shop. Suddenly Shinnosuke's childhood friend Haruko turns up. She has split up with her boyfriend and finds herself out on the streets. Shinnosuke starts to like her and really wants to cheer her up, but he can't manage to express his real feelings or stop picking up other women. Misawa is dumbfounded by Shinnosuke's behavior but also has complex feelings of love for his friend.
In the near future, crime runs rampant in the streets and two major mafia groups are battling for power. In order to eliminate the two mafia groups, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department orders an undercover investigation of their headquarters. However, the ones chosen for the mission are four people known as "losers". Will they be able to successfully solve the case?

On the last leg of of a train ride from Moscow to Manchuria during the early years of World War Two, one of the passengers suddenly disappears. All of the other passengers, including military personnel and civilians from both the Axis powers and Allied nations, have reasons to be suspected. As the remaining passengers investigate, more murders are committed, until at last the political and personal motives of the killer (killers?) are unravelled.
