Mustafali is a man liberated from all ambitions, living in Çökertme Cove, keeping to his own life style. But due to the sickness of his father, who had left him and his mother years ago, he had to come to Istanbul. Mustafali's philosophy will perplex Istanbul, a city that had been living happily with its own truths before Mustafali came along.
Mustafaali, as a person who left the modern life behind him and lives in Cokertme Village, spends his days by reading books. Mustafaali, a person who is against working, satisfies all his vital needs from the blessing of nature. Cavit, on the other hand, is a rich businessman who lives in Istanbul. He has worked in his entire life and all he matters is to work, to earn and to make savings. Cavit's life becomes upside down after he met Mustafaali when he wants to buy Mustafaali's land to build a boutique hotel in Cokertme Bay. Living far from the modern life in his small land under the natural circumstances, Mustafaali's philosophy confuses Cavit who is a person from a big city.

Ради свободы Родины этот человек много трудился, был одинок, пил, иногда боялся темноты, иногда был жестоким диктатором и принимал очень тяжелые решения. Ученикам начальной школы дают задание в школе - написать сочинение об Ататюрке. И дети идут к дедушке историку, чтобы узнать о нем побольше. Переплетаются исторический фильм и фильм драматический. Дети узнают каково это быть ответственным за целую страну и все равно быть до боли одиноким. Узнают что и самые важные в прошлом личности обладали такими же страхами как и они и в целом были такими же обычными людьми, с огнем в глазах и любовью к Родине в сердце.
