Fourteen-year-old Jeanne has lived in a farm commune since she was two years old. Her mother and father live in city communes and rarely visit. This is one of the commandments given by Otto, who rules the commune: children are to grow up without parents. Knowing nothing else, Jeanne enjoys her outdoor life, surrounded by lots of other children, until she falls in love with 16-year-old Jean and her childhood paradise begins to fall apart.

A long truck is cutting its way through the darkness. Trucker Ray decides that it`s going to be his last ride, when a solitary voice out of the radio is holding him back. Just then he drives by a blood covered girl wandering down the street. Lost as he is, she is strolling through the darkness and so he decides to take her with him. But when he discovers that Ingrid is tracing a trail of destruction and has nothing to lose he starts to hope that she is the one to set him free. But is he ready to leave his past behind and be free?

The summer holidays have just begun in Brandenburg, but ten-year-old Lea isn’t going to camp this year with her friends as she normally would. One afternoon she spots five boys lifting a large blue oil barrel over the fence of a paint factory and driving away with their loot on a bicycle trailer. Lea's curiosity is piqued. The next chance she gets, she follows the boys and discovers they built a raft on a small lake. The raft is the boys' property and under no circumstances girls are allowed in their gang. But Lea wants to be part of it very badly and takes them up on a dare. Soon summer is full of adventure.
Electrician
Todor is in his early thirties and lives with his mother, reliant on her cooking, ironing, washing, and company. The comfort of this co-dependent lifestyle is suddenly altered one night when Todor arrives home late after an office party.
