В небольшой деревне, находящейся под властью религиозной секты, символом зла считают цветок Чиза. По убеждениям "служителей Господа", красный сладкий сок цветка - это кровь дьявола. К Чизе нельзя прикасаться, и любопытных детей, нарушающих этот запрет, изгоняют из деревни в горы. Но дети-изгои, свободные и дикие, как ветер, открывают истинную силу этого растения. Его сок содержит то, чего боится большинство взрослых: видение истины. Дети узнают так много, что жители деревни обвиняют их в колдовстве...

All remaining animals have been consumed and no sowing has yet been possible. It is Man at his most basic, destitute level. Two groups inhabit the desolate and abandoned land: packs of orphaned children in a feral state, living a nomadic lifestyle for their safety, and adults (with their offspring), barely surviving any better by living off their meat. It is a war only the most desperate of the two will win.

Limbo centers around a secluded colony of child-vampires between the ages of 4 and 120, who were all the victims of shameless adult vampires. They are led by a formidable and deeply religious ex-nurse whose destiny in life is to find these ‘lost souls’ and raise them in her colony. Through religious teachings and rituals adapted from Catholicism, and the occasional visit to local towns for blood, she prepares the children for what God had in mind for them… creation of a new race of men through ‘natural cloning’, which amounts to being bitten by her children. However, they are neither the only colony of their kind, nor are they as secluded from the outside world as they think.
