Halkaa is a story of a eight year old boy who lives in the slums of delhi and wants proper access to a toilet. This story is of a boy who is a real life Superhero who fights against the system to get what he wants and deserves.

Director Mahua Chakraborty introduces another sleuth in the mix — an ageing advocate-cum-detective named Pinakesh Majumder (Sabyasachi Chakraborty), who solves a complicated mystery involving love, betrayal and murder. Coming from a first-time director, it's a smart and fresh effort, but as a whodunnit, it has too many layers to be decipherable.
