Lucas is a new student at a prestigious private school. He thrives, but is at odds with his tyrannical teacher Jon, as he challenges the strict agenda that Jon wants to preserve for everything in the world. When Jon sees that Lucas has an influence on the class' talented girl Caroline, he cannibalizes her and makes her break down. The injustice makes Lucas so angry that he takes up the matter with Principal Helle. The next day, everything seems to be in perfect order, but Lucas has stuck his nose too far forward.

Daniel boxes at the sport's center, but deep inside he dreams of dancing rumba, wearing spandex, and inviting Elizabeth out. However, he does not dare because of his macho friends, who bully everyone, they feel are weak. He is therefore challenged when he is confronted with Elizabeth's friend, Michele, who is not afraid to be himself and connect to his feminine side.

Birthe is struggling with dementia and the municipality believes that she is no longer capable of taking care of Karen, who has the mental age of an 8-year-old. On the day of Karen’s departure, Birthe is in denial about her own abilities. Why shouldn’t she be able to take proper care of her daughter?

In the bleak winter landscape of Denmark, two social workers find a young woman, alone in the woods. But there is something troubling about her; she doesn't speak and her eyes fill everyone around her with angst. As her presence start to creep into everyone around her, they start to second guess, whether taking her away from the woods, was a good idea.
