Константин Ступин или просто Ступа – рок-н-рольщик из Орла. Ему 44 года, мы забираем его из дурдома и начинаем снимать фильм. Ступа еще в последние годы существования СССР, будучи школьником, решил заниматься музыкой. Он стал лидером Орловской группы Ночная трость: выступления в школе с песнями про ад, секс, наркотики, с текстами вроде «возьмем забытое всеми КПСС, откинем две буквы и получим СС». Потом большие сцены города и как итог, «Фестиваль надежд», организованный Артемием Троицким, где Ночная трость, будучи единственной не московской группой, получает приз зрительских симпатий. Тексты к фестивалю стали уже другими, куда глубже и серьезнее, но с неизменным протестом в содержании и форме.
