Студентка факультета журналистики Ясмин увлечена расследованием странного дела - истории женщины, заподозренной в ведовстве, изувеченной 25 лет назад и пребывающей ныне за решеткой психиатрической лечебницы. Поиск истины приводит девушку и двух её вооруженных камерами однокурсников в суровое деревенское поселение (для обозначения которого в тунисском арабском используется слово «дашра»), где недружелюбные молчаливые женщины проводят свои дни среди коз, у дымящихся котлов, под гроздьями вяленого мяса.
