Vincent tells the story of Jean, a character who is a part of him, without being him. In this story Jean meets Stacey. Notre Histoire is a modern tragi-comedy, a love letter to a woman, a tribute to a neighborhood victim of terrorism, a self-portrait, a social criticism, the description of a relationship between a filmmaker and an actress, in the center of which desire and urgency to work mix.

Rose, 29 years of age, has one goal: leaving France and “going back to Noirie” [Blackland]. When Matthieu Bareyre, one of her closest friends, read her diary and offered to make it into a movie, she was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to deal with some old demons of hers.

Batroun, in northern Lebanon. A couple tries to take advantage of an afternoon at the beach. She is attracted to three handsome, virile hoodlums who disturb the tranquility of the otherwise perfect day. Their brutality angers the owner of a beach hut, who threatens them. Violence erupts everywhere. The woman's reaches another extreme.

In the months following the terrorist attacks in Paris, the youth have seized the nights, looking for a sense of belonging in a world they have ceased to understand. Seeking to change the rules, led by new faces, driven by their values and ideals, they open a new dialogue, challenge the state and are getting ready for a new kind of revolution.
