Helmut Kamp, the construction brigade leader, a man no longer young, life immediately confronted several difficult and woeful problems. The birth of a son, the tragic death of his wife, the relationship of his daughter Ingrid with Dr. Beißert coincided with the need to move to an uninhabited area where a nuclear power plant will be built. Kamp, Ingrid and the members of the friendly brigade decide to act as the duty and the feeling of partnership prompts them, and gradually they all become participants in the new construction...

Berlin in the 1960s. Olaf and Horst are two young metalworkers, who provoke their older colleagues with critiques of the antiquated equipment and lack of materials... not to mention their love of leather jackets and motorbikes. Olaf and Horst begin to be targeted in the house newsletter, and the generational conflict escalates.

What do grown-ups actually do at night? Little Kuno has been asking himself this question a lot lately. One day, the curious six-year-old decides to get to the bottom of it and sneaks outside his house at night. He wanders around the streets aimlessly and experiences some very exciting things.

Июнь 1941-го года. Граница III-го Рейха и Советского Союза. Трое друзей за хорошие результаты в боевой подготовке получают увольнительную и отправляются в город погулять и выпить пива. По дороге они решают поохотиться на цаплю, которую замечают в камышах, однако в ответ на дружный залп из винтовок из зарослей раздается женский крик. Растерянные приятели обнаруживают на берегу пруда окровавленное тело дочери командира части Ангелики, служившей в их роте связисткой. Друзья понимают, что девушку долго не хватятся, ведь она направлялась на вокзал, откуда должна была ехать к новому месту службы в глубокий тыл. Они прячут тело в пруду и пытаются забыть о случившемся. Но это оказывается не так просто. Самый младший из приятелей, Пауль Томас не может простить себе происшедшего и хочет признаться отцу убитой девушки. Понимая, что может произойти катастрофа, его старший товарищ, ефрейтор Лик, просит о помощи своего отца, группенфюрера ваффен-СС. Между тем, наступает 22 июня.

Швальк, новый начальник дорожно-строительной бригады, является смельчаком и привык к успеху — как на работе, так и у женщин. Но на этот раз не всё так гладко. Сначала ему было легко с бригадиром Эрикой, которая влюбилась в него, но на работе случился скандал. Его стремление выиграть соревнование привело к браку в работе. Эрика возмущена его эгоистичным поведением, и она также подозревает, что он ищет только любовного приключения с ней. Она отворачивается от него. Однако, Швальк признаёт свои ошибки и делает всё возможное, чтобы возместить ущерб — как на работе, так и в отношениях с Эрикой. Дорога будет сдана вовремя. И Эрика, и Швальк взаимно счастливы.
