Subrata Sharma is a reporter who leaves his job and joins a small time detective agency, Danny Detective Inc. in Kolkata. Working on a kidnapping case, his boss, Danny, is killed. Circumstances force Subrata to take up the case. He travels to the Dooars, south of the outer foothills of the Himalayas, to unravel a big time criminal underworld. He takes up the responsibility of the agency. How will he succeed in catching the killer?

Shankar Mudi (শংকর মুদি) is a Bengali Political drama film directed by Aniket Chattopadhyay and produced by Kaustuv Ray.[1] This film was released on 15 March 2019 under the banner of RP Techvision India Private Limited. Bengali Actor-Director Shri Kaushik Ganguly plays the Titular role[2][3] and music direction of the film was made by Kabir Suman.[4]

The film starts with the hint of another story 'Satyanweshi' where young Byomkesh caught the head of a cocaine racket who is now seeking revenge. On the other hand, a young girl dies in mysterious condition having a match stick in her hand. One Kokonad Gupta, who claims to be a fan of Byomkesh gifts him a matchbox.

Setarer Sur revolves around five friends -Sunil, Brajesh, Ranjan, Suhash and Avijit -who are all attracted to their common friend, Basobi. Basobi seems to be close to Ranjan. Then, she suddenly declares she will marry Brajesh, as she has always been in love with him. Just days before the wedding, Basobi is found dead at home and renowned detective Kiriti is approached to solve the case.

The story revolves around a retired judge, Mr. Sen, living in a farmhouse on the outskirts of the city. The people who stay in the colony are a handful of social outcasts. One day, the judge is found dead under mysterious circumstances, and Byomkesh takes up the case.

The curtain rises on a small coalfield town. Plagued with a series of unexplained troubles that broke out suddenly, owner of a coalmine seeks the help of Byomkesh Bakshi to sort things out for him. When Byomkesh arrives with his trusted confidante Ajit, they discover to their complete dismay a maze of crimes woven around a violent murder that had little to do with the job that they were entrusted with. A mesmerizing mosaic of criminal characters, a sordid saga of lecherous lust, the thriller unfolds the complex layers of the human mind.

Byomkesh is called upon for help by police to solve the murder mystery of a wealthy old man Benimadhab and his servant Meghraj. He and Ajit finds the case submerged in crooked intentions of family members.
