Greece, Russia, USA, Brazil, China, Senegal. Meeting young people in these countries we heard a ‘Rumble’ foretelling an impending explosion. The fall of communism, crisis of capitalism, ecological catastrophes, migration waves, globalization. The new generation is at the forefront, exposed, helpless without being able to envision a more optimistic future. This ‘Rumble’ comes from this young generation. Their words, images, sounds and music compose the notes of an audio-visual symphony entitled: ‘The Rumble of the World’.

What remains today of the Rite of Spring? An intimate and political portrait of a choreography/er that takes us on a journey through a world where the body becomes an uprising.

A father and a son drive towards the borders. The road is paved with memories of their life together. Away from home, they are making a living for themselves and their family. But the boy’s desire to return will lead to an unexpected journey.

After a major surgery Maria returns to her family home to recover, living with her mother, her sister, and a newborn baby. While her body starts healing, an innermost desire emerges.

A veterinarian is called in to treat a mysterious disease in a remote farm. He examines the first victim of this disease, a ram, and he advises the owner to put down all his livestock as a precautionary measure. A freak storm, though, forces him to spend the night at the farm.

Two siblings live in the industrial town of Elefsina. A bridge connects their neighborhood, inhabited mostly by Black-Sea Greeks, to an area inhabited by immigrants varied background. Social divisions give rise to hostility, reflected in the local sports scene and two siblings’ relationship.

Two African brothers have been separated during their escape to Europe. Joel is stranded in Greece, and his older brother is in Italy. We learn what we know about them from the older brother's voicemail messages, which occasionally make themselves known during the stream of images, with both good and bad news, as Joel wanders around aimlessly in the new and unfamiliar world.

A teenage girl, in an every day routine, takes the same old bus from her house to the beach and back again, on her back she carries a small container in which she collects fresh sea water. When she comes back in the house the door closes behind her, leaving us confronted with the closed door. During the movie we will witness this daily route, we wont have a glimpse of what's going on inside the house, not until the last moment.

Alice, a young woman living in Northern France. finds mysterious tapes with people narrating their nightmares. As she is looking for the sender the limits between dreams and reality get obscured.

Missing her, will take him to a journey. He will cross by foot the place they met and lived, so that in a way he can see her again.

Mohamed, a six year old refugee, finds himself alone in a crowded Aegean beach. He is hiding behind a rock, watching the tourists bathing and waiting for his mother to come back. He lost her in the sea and now he needs to find her again, in order to keep up with the great trip to the West.
