В меняющейся Европе исчезают границы, появляются новые независимые республики и государства. Полни и Челорек - два сельскохозяйственных рабочих из восточно-европейской страны приехали в Париж на поезде, на котором собирались и вернуться домой. Но никто из них не знает, где находится их страна, а так как у них украли деньги и документы, то и идентифицировать их невозможно. Два скромных иностранца блуждают по враждебному Парижу в поисках помощи, а в итоге вызывают хаос во французском правительстве, так как их ошибочно принимают за советских шпионов. Но единственное их желание - вернуться домой в Пражевитцу, страну, которая видимо не существует.
