In Vražda v hotelu Excelsior, the interwar period homicide detective squad from Prague investigates the murder of a wealthy woman, Mrs Matoušová, which threatens the reputation of the eponymous luxury hotel popular with Prague’s elite. Even the retired police inspector Mrázek (František Filipovský), who works at the Excelsior as a hotel detective, is unable to help at first. Although the investigation inevitably uncovers the hotel staff’s scheming, Vacátko and his team unerringly follow the trail that leads them to the murderer…
Tram driver Marie has far too much to do after her shift is over. But she likes to do it all since she loves her husband Václav sincerely. One day she spots him on the Lesser Town Square in Prague, kissing an attractive blonde good-bye. It seems to Marie that her small comfortable world has collapsed and she walks out of the tram in tears. But her sadness does not last long. She wipes off the tears and begins to act. She withdraws all the money from their savings books and buys off all the latest models from the Fashion Works. The visit to the beauty salon then completes her transformation into a lady.

В военном гарнизоне Алкалис в день открытия памятника Иоганну Себастьяну Баху разворачиваются загадочные события. Солдат Шульц, прекрасный кларнетист, дезертирует из гарнизона при помощи молодого учителя и И.С.Баха. В тот момент, когда Шульцу угрожает опасность, ружья, направленные на него, превращаются в кларнеты. Все оружие в гарнизоне становится музыкальными инструментами.
