The film follows Nello, the recently hired director of a newly developed work cooperative of former mental patients. After the closure of state psychiatric hospitals and asylums in Italy under the Basaglia Law many former patients were left with few resources and little hope of reintegrating into society. With the intention of actually improving the lives of his pupils, rather than just sedating them, Nello encourages them to expand their individual abilities and explore the wider world around them although, regardless of intention, there is sometimes a price to pushing boundaries too quickly.

The “meaning of life” told by Eros Puglielli in his peculiar directing style: weird characters, odd mishaps, fates that meet, skim and loose each other. A student in love with her philosophy lecturer, a disabled man seeking for his legs recovery, a young pop star desperate for a spiritual leader to meet. And above everybody stands an overhanging odd luminous man, maybe true, maybe not.

Maria, a provincial Polish girl, travels to Milan to pay her older sister Eva a surprise visit. The sisters haven't seen each other in seven years and Eva has changed a lot. She lives in a luxurious apartment and dresses in designer clothes. Although she pretends to be an interpreter, Eva is actually a call-girl and, one night, fails to return from an appointment. Maria enquires at the hotel where Eva last worked. Eva's body is soon found. The investigation is conducted by Inspector Messina, a trendy cop. Maria and Messina become an inseparable investigating team. Maria poses as a call-girl in order to reveal her sister's killer and they use mobile phones to keep in touch.

In a high school in the outskirts of Rome, it's the last day before the summer holidays. A literature teacher reminisces the past year and wonders what will become of the students he cared for as if they were his children.

Шесть новелл, рисующих несколько комичных ситуаций: во время венчания молодой пары в церковь приезжают два маляра-недотепы и переворачивают все вверх дном; два автомеханика портят жизнь владельцам авто своими выкрутасами; парочка коммивояжеров предлагают товар хозяину гостиницы, а в результате вынуждены возмещать причиненный ими ущерб; в похоронном бюро служащие приводят в состояние полной прострации родственников покойных; в выходной день приятели устраивают переполох на пляже; два дружка на свое несчастье оказываются двойниками настоящих мафиози…
