Elise Brown
История
Elise Brown was born and raised just outside of Chicago. She earned her BA in Film Studies with a concentration in screenwriting at Yale University. During her undergraduate study, she spent a semester at FAMU in Prague where she worked with local film students and professionals to direct a short film on 16mm. After graduation, Elise moved to Los Angeles and worked as a script coordinator on Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins and Hulu’s drama, The Act. Wanting to deepen her knowledge of film and TV production, Elise entered USC’s prestigious Film and TV Production Program at the School of Cinematic Arts where she focused on writing, producing, and directing. There she was selected to produce the short film, A Craftsman, in USC's selective 546 course which counts filmmakers such as Ryan Coogler as an alum. The short has screened at film festivals such as the Palm Springs International Shorts Fest, Camerimage, and the American Black Film Festival and was recently showcased on Issa Rae’s “Short Film Sundays.” Elise is passionate about using her voice and vision to bring authentic, nuanced, heartfelt stories featuring women and people of color to the screen.
