A man leaves his wife after she gives birth to three daughters in succession and remarries another woman in hopes of a male child. However, things take a turn when he meets with an accident.

Tapan is a devout lover of honesty and integrity. He and his wife together does a lot of good for the society for example provide contracts to the jobless men in the neighbourhood. Tapan's wife, the Barobou of the house takes care of everyone at home. She also ensures that her brother-in-law gets a job in a company however does not reveal this to anyone. As Tapan's younger brother Swapan gets a job and marries the only daughter of his employer, he starts becoming an arrogant man. His wife, a divorcee, also turns out to be a woman of similar characteristics. She is not willing to keep her son from her previous marriage and therefore Barobou adopts him and takes care of him as her own son. The elder couple, soon lose their respect in the house when Tapan's company is shut down. However, the greatness to of the elderly couple is brought to light by Tapan's student and his sister. The younger brothers beg for forgiveness from the elder brother and the family is united once again

'Prajapati' is the story of Sukhen who grows up neglected to become a rough person with a heart of gold. Shikha, Sukhen's beloved wants him to lead a normal and healthy life. The film is a family drama of Arijit, his wife and son. A bolt from the blue brings troubles to the peaceful household. During a tour in an accident Arijit's wife dies. This puts the family into a state of shock. But time is the greatest healer, they say. Arijit becomes a successful businessman but his villainous brother lands Arijit into a disastrous financial situation. Arunava loves a doctor Indrani. Suddenly it is revealed that Arijit's wife was not dead but had just lost her memory in the accident. She was in a ashram for several years. When she got her memory back she came to her house but here she saw Aparna. She was heart-broken and wanted to return to the ashram. Complications build up which are finally settled and the daughters-in-law return to their respective and rightful homes.
