Bellman's Assistant
There are three children growing at Tammaru farm - one boy, Margus; and two orphan girls, Mari and Tiina. Tiina is lively and full of energy. Margus holds her very dear to him. Margus's parents want him to marry Mari instead as she is more their kind. Hotblooded Tiina is completely different from them and her mother was once executed for being a witch. Mari thinks that Tiina has bewitched Margus and cannot stand this, so she starts to publicly blame her stepsister for being a werewolf.
Окончилась Великая Отечественная война. Хейно Рааген и его три друга, тоже солдаты, вернулись в родную деревню. Перед ними встала задача восстановить колхоз, созданный перед самой войной. О том, как на протяжении ряда лет Хейно и его друзья строят новую жизнь, сталкиваются с разными людьми, не раз терпят поражения, разочарование, но в конце концов все же находят правильный путь к новой, счастливой жизни, рассказывает фильм.
Two proud fisherman families live on a very small island in Estonia. The two fishermen have always bore a grudge against each other. Their stubbornness and disobedience to German occupiers leads to dramatic events where staying alive is worse than death. Since it is impossible to escape public contempt, they have to decide how to redeem themselves.
