Up until the middle of the 19Th century, poverty stricken mountain farmers from the Ticino area of Switzerland frequently sold their children to Milan as chimney sweeps or spazzacamini. That is also young Giorgios fate. He is forced to climb through pitch black chimneys, flinging down the soot with his bare hands. But he does not lose heart. Together with his buddies sharing in the same misery, he establishes the association of Black Brothers. They stick together, struggling against their penury and getting involved in fights with the street gangs of Milan. The film tells of the gripping adventures of the chimney sweep boys and their spectacular escape back to their native land.

Феликс — тридцатилетний холостяк, гоняющий по Мюнхену на велосипеде, иногда видящийся со знакомой девушкой ради коротких, но продуктивных встреч. Все его друзья уже давно ведут семейную жизнь, имеют по паре-тройке детей и погрязли в быту. Жизнь Феликса вполне его устраивает, до того момента, как к нему вваливается его незадачливый младший брат со своим зверьком. И вот тут-то жизнь парня резко меняется. Зверек умудряется в буквальном смысле лишить парня возможности быть отцом.

Привидение ХуБу уже 500 лет живет в замке Бургек и на законных основаниях пытается всех напугать. Ведь он — потомственный призрак, что подтверждено настоящей лицензией с печатью! Но даже это не помогает ему быть по-настоящему страшным. Хозяин замка король Юлиус XI устраивает бал в честь своей невесты, графини Леоноры. Привидение пытается нагнать страха на гостей, но дело опять заканчивается позором. Рассерженный король сжигает его лицензию и изгоняет призрак из замка. А когда монарху понадобилась помощь привидения, чтобы наказать обманщицу-невесту, вернуть ХуБу оказалось не так-то просто — парень не согласен нарушать закон и разгуливать по замку без документов…

Der Bewegte Mann is a German comedy about a heterosexual man, Axel, who is thrown out of his girlfriends home for cheating and ends up moving in with a gay man. Axel learns the advantages of living with gay men even though they are attracted to him and when his girlfriend wants him back he must make a tough decision.

Mavi Sürgün is a fictionalized account of one period of the life of a Turkish journalist who was condemned to exile for an article he wrote in 1925. He turned his punishment into a reward by creating a little paradise in what is today the holiday resort, Bodrum. In fact he is considered by some to be the first ecologist. The film concentrates on this latter aspect of his character and through flashbacks portrays the inner turmoil of a man who is trying to come to terms with his past. The slow pace is somewhat of a drawback, the flashbacks are often confusing and the protagonist is not always very convincing. But the photography of the country side is exceptional Kenan Ormanlar and the short appearance by a very theatrical Hanna Schygulla of Fassbinder fame adds a little spice to the drama.
