A writer of pulp crime novels is drawn into a series of real crimes. This film was one of the first Czech attempts on a genre parody.

Fifty years old Baron von Fibberg lives at The Fibberg Castle with his wife Olga and daughter Charley. Besides the delight in hunting, Baron is very enthusiastic about truth. Although he can't withstand any falsehood of others, he keeps his own intimate secrets from his wife. Charley seems to be an innocent girl at first glance, but she has a little secret too. She fell in love with a young fop Ernest Benda and married him in secret. Her only concern is the way, how to let her strict father know about the marriage. Together with her husband they prepare a plan how to do it, but it turns out to be a catastrophe for the whole family.

U pokladny stál... is a Czech comedy film. It was released in 1939.

Seventh form pupils at a grammar school in Přívlaky are preparing for a secondary school sports competition. Class creep Krhounek gives the class teacher Lejsal a copy of the seventh form’s magazine Roar. Most of the teachers insist on severe punishing the culprit. The author does not own up and consequently the whole class is punished by being banned from taking part in the schools competition. The most gifted pupil, Benetka, rather sharply criticises the school in a homework essay on a subject of his choice. The strict Czech language teacher is convinced Benetka is the author of the school magazine. Benetka denies the charge but his expulsion from school is proposed anyway on account the views he expounded in his essay. Eventually, Boukal, the author of the school magazine comes forward and admits to writing it. The pupils are allowed to take part in the contest and thanks to Benetka they win. In the meantime however the teachers vote to expell him.

Молодой специалист по рекламе Ярослав Хайек, уже почти отчаявшийся найти работу, выигрывает первое место в рекламном конкурсе, организованном на предприятиях промышленника Барты. Приз конкурса - двухнедельное проживание в роскошном горном отеле. Второе место выигрывает никому не известный пан Новотный. Под именем Новотного скрывается сам миллионер Барта, который желает поехать в отель под видом бедняка. Дочь миллионера приходит в ужас от безрассудной идеи отца и тайно предупреждает управляющего отеля, управляющий сообщает другим служащим, а швейцар сообщает постояльцам. В результате мнимого бедняка все окружают заботой и вниманием, и всячески стараются ему угодить, а две светские львицы решительно настроены заполучить его в свои сети. Вот только и служащие отеля и его постояльцы ошиблись в личности переодетого миллионера...

Петр Сук, крайне безответственный молодой человек, к крайнему неудовольствию своего дяди ведёт безнравственный образ жизни: пьёт, играет в карты, волочится за дамами и не вылезает из долгов. Однажды врач путает рентгеновские снимки и по ошибке сообщает юноше, что ему осталось жить 24 часа. Петр договаривается о собственных похоронах и отправляется погулять напоследок. Незадолго до того, как, по его мнению, он должен умереть, он соглашается жениться на медсестре, которая должна разбогатеть, если выйдет замуж. А затем он узнает, что диагноз был ошибочным, и решает начать новую жизнь. Но как это сделать, когда формально ты уже мёртв?

Woman concert star seeks to connect with her adult daughter, by her former marriage to a staid industrialist who has kept the two apart since the girl was very small, and receives inadvertent help from the industrialist's just-fired employee who has fallen in love with the girl.

Anton Špelec (Vlasta Burin) is a producer of musical instruments by trade but a sharp-shooter at heart. He expects to be awarded a medal at a large parade in town where veteran sharp-shooters will be honored. When the town council is one medal short, Anton must wait another year for his prized possession. He drowns his disappointment in drink at the local pub and becomes so drunk that he insults the emperor who sentences him to jail. Instead of fulfilling the emperor’s orders himself, Anton sends his employee in his stead.

The story of high school students, talented Jan and Karel, who has a problem with math. Their life affects pedantic professor of mathematics Klec, that goes with them on a school trip, which escalates the conflict between them. Jan wants to escape, but Professor Donat will discourage him. Karel fails the exam of mathematics and decides to commit suicide.
