A pair of siblings are living together in the outskirts of society. The brother, Yoshio, has a hurt leg, the sister, Mariko, has an intellectual disability and spends most of her time at home. Yukio Haruyama (Riku Ohnishi) is an elementary school student. He has an uncle (Ryuhei Matsuda) that teaches philosophy part-time at an university. His uncle leeches off his family. The uncle then goes on a blind date and falls in love with beautiful Eri Inaba. She is a fourth generation Japanese living in Hawaii. Sometime later, Eri goes back to Hawaii to take over a coffee farm left behind by her recently deceased grandmother. Yukio and his uncle travel to Hawaii to see Eri.

Shinji is a middle-aged, sleaze film director who used to be famous. He hardly goes back home and moves from one woman to another. In spite of his idleness, women are very fond of him and look after him compassionately for whatever reason.

Kazuya Naruse, an obedient programer falls for a girl "Rumi", whom he gets to know through chat rooms. Naruse lost himself in this love, as if he lives in another world. Rumi has a mentally ill husband. Spending time with these two, the illusion of love in Naruse gradually changes to uneasiness and insanity.

Keiko's stunt creates such a stir of excitement over the weather report that viewers begin religiously turning in to see what she'll do next. However, this showboating routine earns the ire of Kaori, the beautiful and ambitious daughter of JTV's chairman. Jealous of her success and aching to take over the weather report, Kaori is willing to do just about anything to get what she wants.
