Jakub, a dreamer and budding magician, juggles between parcels and services rendered to the villagers. His eyes cross that of the beautiful gypsy Jolanka. Together, they will try to live a first and big love, despite the pressure of their respective communities.

An animal lover, Miloš , brings a small mouse to school, which causes a lot of excitement in the classroom. Miloš remains for punishment after school, however, when the teacher notices that Miloš is bringing lunch to his sick grandmother, she lets him go home. However, Miloš cannot get home with lunch. Somewhere, he lost the key he wears on the string around his neck.

In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.

Талантливый молодой врач Юрай Белан рассматривает свою профессию как постоянное, беззаветное служение людям, как высокий благородный долг, которому он посвятил свою жизнь. Врач Эмилия считает, что каждый человек должен жить прежде для себя. И она из своей профессии врача-гинеколога старается извлекать выгоду, даже за счет здоровья своих пациентов. И только, когда Юрай, которого она по-настоящему полюбила, отвернулся от нее. Эмилия поняла, что цинизм и стяжательство вовсе не украшают человека, что настоящее счастье не в деньгах.

Действие происходит во время национального восстания 1944 года. В словацком селе погибли два немецких солдата. Командир немецкой части (Ладислав Худик) объявил, что за каждого убитого солдата будут расстреляны пять заложников. И не меняет своего решения, когда становится известно, что солдаты погибли из-за несчастного случая. Но крестьяне не ждут покорно своей судьбы - они берутся за оружие...

Комедия о молодой деревенской девушке, которая на большом заводе получает новый жизненный опыт. Она потихоньку привыкает к новой обстановке и новым людям, а деревенская наивка становится молодой женщиной с новыми идеалами...
