Bernardo
Bernardo is an old Art History teacher recently retired and widowed from his wife Cecilia. Without a clear path to go on with his life, one day he runs into Víctor, a piano player and long lost love from Bernardo’s past that he hasn’t seen in almost 40 years.
When his wife leaves him, Domingo is determined to prove that he is not only a looser that gets fired every other week. Domingo sets out to make his lifelong dream come true. Every Sunday, he goes and spends his time on the sidelines of an improvised soccer field, near his poor outskirt neighbourhood in Guadalajara, to commentate on the neighbourhood matches. While he constantly improves his style and technique, he keeps trying to get a job with the local TV station as his ultimate goal, but he doesn't realize how much his impassioned commentaries are changing the life of his entire community.

Julia at first is contemplated by the job offer Esteban has offered her considering it's prostitution, but since she's very attracted to Esteban, she takes the job and let's him take fully advantage of her and her innocence. Julia, young, naive, and virginal, thinks Esteban really loves her because she gives herself up to him. She thinks all that he does is out of love and "tough" love.
