И тогда юноша, будучи исключен из лицея за свое выступление, поступает на завод, где включается в активную антифашистскую борьбу. После изгнания фашистов из Румынии Андрей и его дядя коммунист Журка присоединяются к тем, кто смело ведет борьбу с реакцией, за становление новой, подлинно народной демократии.

Молодой талантливый и всеми уважаемый врач Джорджи оставляет работу в столичной больнице и уезжает работать в отдалённый рыбацкий посёлок. Трудно приходится Джорджи на новом месте, где рыбаки предпочитают знахарку врачу. Скука и неустроенность жизни раздражают его жену Ирину, и она возвращается в город. Через некоторое время, когда Джорджи удалось победить недоверие рыбаков, завоевать их уважение и любовь, он уговорил Ирину вернуться. Во время шумного и весёлого праздника Ирина неосторожно поднялась на обрывистый берег и, упав, разбилась насмерть.

Музыкальная кинокомедия о молодёжи текстильной фабрики «Текслон», которая подготавливает интересную программу концерта для выпускников вечерней школы. Директор Дома культуры настаивает на постановке всем надоевшей оперы «Не хочу жениться», но молодёжь, применив хитрость, добивается своего, и благодарные зрители бурно аплодируют интересному представлению.

В центре фильма образ человека, долго стоявшего в стороне от политических событий, убежденного, что они его не касаются, но под влиянием обстоятельств включившегося в активную борьбу за освобождение своей страны от фашистских захватчиков.
