From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Kate Lynch (born June 29, 1959) is a Genie Award-winning actress whose career spans four decades. In 1980 she won the Genie Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Meatballs. She was nominated for the same award in 1988 for her role in Taking Care though she did not win on that occasion.
