This is one of the animated shorts we made for Acceptable TV that never made it to air. What a shame. I have a feeling it would have been a REAL SIDE SPLITTER! This was me doing another “House of Cosbys” type thing, only within the boundaries of what a legal team working for a cable network deemed acceptable. I intend to credit everyone involved on this as soon as I have some down time. Maybe my kind and hard working assistant JD can do the legwork. Did you work on this? Want to see your name in lights? Contact me. You know how email works.

This is another one of the cartoons I wrote and directed for The Sarah Silverman Program. Same team as the other Sarah cartoons, consisting of Andrew Delange on backgrounds, design, and color; Myke Chilian on character animation, design, and color, AND the absolutely adorable Sevan Najarian on Aftereffects animating, lip sync, and other odds and ends. We were a one stop shop. We had it down. We knew what we were doing. We had it all figured out. Huge shout out to Abed Gheith who voiced the evil Mister Cookiecrumble guy. He really did a great job. Good work pal! These were really fun to make. We were on the lot, able to run around the sets and be assholes while everyone else worked hard to produce and film Sarah’s show. I would go and grab whoever I could in between takes and record them in an office or whatever I had available to me. We really were a rag tag team of rough and tumble animators, just finding our way in the big bright city. I was so proud/ excite...

This is actually the first cartoon I ever made. Working with Sevan Najarian and Abed Gheith, this thing was all we did every day for a few months back in early 2003. I drew everything and Sevan key-framed all my art making it come alive. It was actually one of the most pure things I’ve ever done, since we had no reason for making this thing other than our own desire to do so. We didn’t have an audience in mind. I remember Abed and I recorded all the voices in my car, right into the mic of a shitty Sony digital 8 camcorder. It sounds like shit, and we were soaked in sweat from the heat of that car, but the whole time we were laughing our asses off. The comic book shop in the opening is “Earth2Comics” in Sherman Oaks. I still shop there to this day. This thing was originally supposed to just be a segment on a larger animated variety show that was packaged as a comic book. 22 minute comedy. episode one would have been issue #1, episode two would have been issue#...
Paloni Pitch Presentation
Creator
This was a pitch presentation that I made on spec in order to convince FOX that “The Paloni Family” would be the ideal late night show for their saturday night block. It was 2009, and they had just cancelled Mad TV and there was a perfect little slice of heaven that I was hoping to turn into my playground. I brought this in, and was able to sell them on it. We started moving forward with this as late night for a few weeks, when suddenly, BOOM. The president of FOX (Kevin Reilly) shifted gears on the animated idea for that Saturday night slot. He still loved this project, and decided that it was strong enough/ interesting enough to be developed for prime time. So that’s what we did. And the original idea began to buckle once subjected to the scrutiny of the prime time development process. The Paloni “packaging” was supposed to be a really simple narrative that took up at most 25% of the total episode. Instead we ended up writing a pilot script that was about 9...
