Takane (Honoka Miki) is a teenage student interested in art. Her friend Mika (Misato Aoyama) wants to become a novelist. They are best friends and have developed feelings for each other. Their relationship though becomes shaken by the presence of Namie (Yukie Kawamura). Namie is an ex-novelist and works as a librarian.
Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey attend a stage show of The Steel Samurai: Warrior of Neo Olde Tokyo, with Larry Butz, Miles Edgeworth, and Dick Gumshoe also being in the audience. During the play, a large lantern falls from above the stage that starts a fire. With Will Powers as the prime suspect, it is up to Wright to acquit his old client and determine as to whether or not there is foul play at work.
Leading an expedition in Germany, Kougami unseals the resting place of one of the alchemists that created the Core Medals in an effort to retrieve a set of lost Medals. However, upon the seal being undone, millions of Cell Medals erupt into a tower while creating a magical barrier that causes parts of Japan to flip over. As the alchemist reveals her plans to become a new OOO, Eiji and his friends are thrown into the past and must find their way back home and stop the alchemist before she destroys the world!
