Ghost Ship (1952)

A professor and his beautiful assistant investigate a murder which occurs in a supposedly haunted house.

In the midst of World War II, Nazi officer Otto Schatz declares the execution of Jewish music-hall comedian Genghis Cohn. Many years later, Otto is comfortably retired into the life of a highly respected police commissioner, and is investigating a series of murders when he encounters the ghost of Genghis Cohn. The haunting turns into a taunting, and before he knows it, Schatz is slowly driven mad as he is lured into a trap.

Basheer (Jagathy) is rescued by a cargo ship while lost at sea. Basheer has had a partial memory loss and he struggles to find out what has happened to him. The captain of the ship (Lalu Alex) tries to get him back to land, but he runs into several legal troubles due to the lack of documents with Basheer to prove his identity. Bhaskara Pillai (Mamootty), a lawyer decides to help out Basheer seeing his plight. The plot thickens when there's an attempted murder on Basheer.

A thief gang flees from the police and catches a night train with To, an unlucky guy who is now their hostage. There are many wealthy passengers in the train, so the thieves take advantage to rob the passengers. Oddly, when the thieves rush into the bogie, all they could see is just empty seats. Then, To is accused to be the one who told the passengers to escape from the train before they could begin to rob. Now, To has to run away before the thieves kill him. Luckily, there's a pretty girl named Rahtree comes to save him in time, and tells him the horrible story of the train. There's something mysterious about the train and the passengers that To has to confront.

Papa, Mama, Daughter and Son Gimplewort move into their new house. Two movers are talking to each other about the murder of a saxophone player that took place in the house. They say his ghost still roams the house. Night comes and every noise and creak in the house scares the papa, mama and son (the daughter is out on a date). The Mover gives the daughter a parrot saying "It's a religious parrot – I bought it from a sailor". At any rate, the parrot gets into the act by yelling scaring Papa and Son who have come down looking for the source of the noise. Later Daughter and Remover return from a costume party and sneak into the house. The young man is dressed in a skeleton outfit and the fun continues. There has been film reconstruction in a number of places, particularly the last third of the film. In many cases there is a photograph depicting the scene being described.
