The Tour (2008)

En Belgrado, Yugoslavia, durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, un poeta, Marko Dren (Miki Manojlovic), esconde a su amigo Petar Popara (Lazar Ristovski) y a su familia en un sótano para esconderse de los nazis. Allí ocultos deben fabricar armas para la guerra. Marko los engaña para que sigan fabricando armas 20 años después de la guerra y haciéndoles creer que aún no termina y que sólo han pasado 15 años. La película está llena de simbolismos y metáforas. Por ejemplo, tras el bombardeo a Belgrado, Blaky se limpia el zapato con un gato; al final, Petar, en la búsqueda de su hijo y tras descubrir que Marko y Natalija (Mirjana Jokovic) murieron, se apoya en una cruz que tiene a Cristo invertido. Además, en medio del fuego y la destrucción, hay un caballo blanco y un ganso volando.

La película, una comedia negra tan absurda como irreverente, ambientada en 1941, narra las peripecias de un grupo de pasajeros de un autobús que hace su camino desde el interior hasta Belgrado, durante el inicio de la II Guerra Mundial.

Un anciano moribundo le pide a su nieto que cumpla sus últimas voluntades: que vaya a la ciudad para vender una vaca, que compre un icono religioso y que vuelva con una esposa. Al final, la búsqueda se convertirá en un viaje iniciático para el joven, que nunca antes había salido de su pueblo.

In another story, Šomi and Duje anxiously follow the football match between Manchester and Eastwich. They bet on Eastwich, because their childhood friend Kengur is their goalkeeper. The plot of the third story takes place on the roof of the solitaire, where Avaks and Hibrid are wasting time in anticipation of something happening.

Year 1993, the bleakest time of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A group of actors from Belgrade, utterly unaware of what they're setting themselves up for, embark on a search for quick earnings - on a "tour" around the Serbian Krajina. Mladen Maticevic is a 40 year old Serbian film director. In the summer of 2005, he decided to try and run the full marathon race on the next Belgrade Marathon, in the spring of 2006. This film depicts his struggle to train, lose weight, learn the tactics and eventually win the race. His family doubts that such feat is possible while friends both encourage him and discourage him to pull it off. Suddenly the whole marathon run becomes a metaphor for everyday struggles in post-Communist Belgrade.

A frustrated and unemployed architect experiences flashbacks of his youth and 1968 protests while the life passes by. Unable to adapt and to accept the reality, he’s constantly getting into conflicts with the people around him.

Life is very difficult to a family of a pilot who spent 14 years in prison on the basis of false testimony. Her husband's prosecution is his wife's fate, while his daughter doesn't even know that her father is alive. After many migrations and wanderings, the mother meets a soft-spoken yet unscrupulous man who'll promise her marriage, and rape her daughter. The mother eventually ends up at asylum, and the father returns from prison at the right time to help their daughter in life which crucial lessons she already mastered.
