Sinopsis
Lamont, Indiana, durante la II Guerra Mundial. Lee Stevens (Fred MacMurray) es el ejecutivo de una fábrica de juguetes, cuyo dueño es T.J. Todd (Edward Arnold). Esperando obtener más rentabilidad, T.J. enviará a Lee para Washington, D.C., para intentar obtener un contrato con el gobierno y convertir la empresa para fabricar material bélico.
