Adaptación de un relato breve de Leon Tolstoi: "El billete falso". Yvon es un joven que es injustamente acusado de traficar con dinero falso. A partir de ese error judicial, la adversidad dominará su vida. Durante su estancia en prisión, el ambiente en el que se mueve lo va degradando y corrompiendo hasta convertirlo en una persona sin escrúpulos ni principios morales.
