Un grupo de matones son contratados por un misterioso sujeto para que vayan a una casa abandonada y encuentren allí un VHS con imágenes horribles. Las instrucciones decían que el video sería de fácil reconocimiento, pero cuando llegan a la casa encuentran una enorme biblioteca llena de VHS. Su tarea será entonces descubrir cuál es la cinta maldita.

Two newly hired video store clerks are asked by their new boss to deliver a package to a theater across town. Unbeknownst to them, the package is truly a shipment of cocaine for a local drug kingpin.

Uno de mis más preciados elementos patrimoniales -al menos en términos de valor sentimental- es un VHS original de “La Señora Doubtfire”. Sí, puede que debiera visitar a un psicoanalista, o tomarme unas prolongadas vacaciones. Pero el caso es que si hacemos caso al proverbio “mal de muchos, consuelo de tontos”, el tonto que les habla ha encontrado en “Rewind This!”, un redentor oasis documental. Con constantes referencias visuales al VHS, “Rewind This!” es un exhaustivo, instructivo, nostálgico y divertido repaso a la historia del vídeo. Y a la influencia que éste tuvo sobre el proceso productivo cinematográfico. Lástima que su ritmo narrativo -demasiado vivaz-, dificulte la absorción de buena parte de la información transmitida.

Dos hermanos se reúnen tras la desaparición de su progenitor para poner orden en el negocio familiar, una tienda de VHS especializada en cine de terror. Entre los vestigios de la era analógica encuentran un juego interactivo que tiene una presentadora con el rostro de Barbara Crampton (que también ejerce de productora) y que parece tener alguna relación con lo sucedido a su padre.
