В поисках редкой видеозаписи трое взломщиков пробираются в таинственный особняк. Хозяин ждет их у включенного телевизора и, похоже, не слишком радуется визиту. Он мертв уже несколько дней, а его странное наследие — коллекция старых видеозаписей, покоится неподалеку. Желая отыскать нужную пленку, друзья просматривают весь архив. Каждая запись погружает их в новый кошмар, настолько реальный, будто он происходит у них на глазах. И с каждой минутой где-то совсем рядом пробуждается оно, неведомое и беспощадное ЗЛО.

Two newly hired video store clerks are asked by their new boss to deliver a package to a theater across town. Unbeknownst to them, the package is truly a shipment of cocaine for a local drug kingpin.

Женщина, живущая воспоминаниями о восьмидесятых и страдающая алкоголизмом, постоянно терпит унижения от коллег и руководства на работе, а также пытается наладить отношения с дочерью.Смогут ли два человека, оказавшиеся на обочине жизни, вместе решить все проблемы и изменить судьбы друг друга раз и навсегда?

Videosyncracy follows three very different video rental stores as they negotiate their survival in three distinct Los Angeles neighborhoods: Old Bank DVD in the Downtown arts district, Vidiots in sunny seaside Santa Monica, and Eddie Brandt’s Saturday Matinee in bustling North Hollywood. Their stories chronicle not only the birth and twilight of a particular kind of corner store, but also decades of personal lives intertwined with those of their communities, the new challenges and facilities of a rapidly changing world, and an enduring love of the movies, a slice of Americana on the brink of disappearance yet defiant to the end.
