Adaptación en clave música. En esta versión hilarante del cuento de hadas "la princesa y el guisante", la Reina Aggravain (Carol Burnett) ha dictaminado que nadie se pueda casar hasta que su hijo, el príncipe Dauntless (Denis O'Hare), se case. Sin embargo, se las ha ingeniado para sabotear a cualquier princesa que viene a casarse con él. Cuando Sir Harry (Matthew Morrison) y Lady Larken (Zooey Deschanel) se entera de que van a ser padres, casados o no, él irá a los pantanos para traer a la princesa Winnifred (Tracy Ullman).
