Forever Plaid is an affectionate musical homage to the close-harmony 'guy groups' that reached the height of their popularity during the 1950s. This quartet of high-school chums, and their earnest dreams of recording an album, ended (symbolically, and even literally) in death, when their cherry red '54 Mercury collided with a bus filled with Catholic schoolgirls on their way to see the Beatles' American debut on The Ed Sullivan Show. The girls were fine. The play begins with the wondrous and wondering Plaids returning from the afterlife for one final chance at musical glory.
Young Man
Jimmy es un gángster retirado apodado "El Santo" porque nunca mató a un hombre; las palabras y la elegancia eran sus armas. Jimmy vive una existencia tranquila en la ciudad de Denver, hasta que un buen día recibe la visita de su antiguo jefe. Éste, apodado "El hombre con un plan", le propone un último trabajo: dar un susto a un chico que mantiene relaciones con la ex-novia de su hijo. Para llevar a cabo su tarea, Jimmy reúne a sus viejos compinches. Pero uno de ellos, pierde los nervios y la cosa acaba mal.
Jerry Logan, un taxista de Las Vegas, encuentra un millón de dólares en su taxi y decide abandonar la ciudad. Poco después, un despiadado asesino va tras su rastro y no se detendrá ante nada para recuperar el dinero y eliminar a todos los testigos.
