When Tito announces his personal visit to Atif's hometown, there begins an adventure that they will all remember for the rest of their lives.

Luna y Amar son una joven pareja muy unida que intenta superar los obstáculos que surgen en su relación: el alcoholismo de él, la obsesión de ella por ser madre, las dificultades económicas y dos maneras distintas de entender la religión. Tras ser despedido del trabajo por su adicción a la bebida, Amar acepta un trabajo en una comunidad musulmana fundamentalista, bastante alejada de Sarajevo. Pasado cierto tiempo, Luna consigue ir a visitarlo y descubre, en medio de un paraje idílico, un mundo desconocido y lleno de rituales, donde hombres y mujeres viven completamente separados. Le ruega a Amar que vuelva a casa, pero él se opone porque en ese ambiente ha encontrado la paz y ha logrado superar su afición a la bebida.

Pero, cegado por su trabajo y por su natural optimismo, Luka no presta atención a los persistentes rumores de una guerra civil inminente.

Sarajevo, 1995. Senka, a young actress, misses her boyfriend, Camac, a soldier in the Bosnian army who is often away fighting. Despite everything, she continues to go with her brother-in-law to the theater to perform in a play.

Moved by his love for his girlfriend Senka, Senad leaves his job at the hospital and comes to the besieged city. Avoiding the armed groups roaming the city, he finally finds Senka at her brother Zan's home. Zan happens to be Senad's best friend and is working in the theater as a clown in the production, "Flying Tours of Duty." His girlfriend Senka is working in a hospital but has no time for love. Dejected Senad returns to his flat, only to find it has been demolished by the war. Zan invites Senad to live together with him, his wife and Senka. The rest of the film recounts the tragic events that befall the group and how they face up to them.
