Banana Yoshimoto (吉本 ばなな, Yoshimoto Banana) is a Japanese novelist. Her real name is Mahoko Yoshimoto (吉本 真秀子, Yoshimoto Mahoko).

Satsuki perdió a su novio, Hitoshi, en un accidente de coche. Incapaz de superar su pérdida, se sume en una profunda tristeza.
