Lorenzo and Sandro are friends and partners of Agostino, director of a real estate agency, a great lover of Africa. During a lunch they accidentally meet Giovanni, known in Kenya. The man, having become familiar, proposes a real estate deal in the dark continent. This is a project for the construction in Malindi of a resort with villas and swimming pools, designed for the western market. Lorenzo is disinterested and skeptical, while Sandro is enthusiastic. However, they discover that the place where the complex will be built is a mission that deals with helping children. Art Direction
Alemania, década de los 70: violentos atentados terroristas sacuden los cimientos de la todavía frágil democracia alemana. Los hijos radicalizados de la generación nazi, dirigidos por Andreas Baader (Moritz Bleibtreu), Ulrike Meinhof (Martina Gedeck) y Gudrun Ensslin (Johanna Wokalek) libran una guerra mortal contra lo que consideran el nuevo rostro del fascismo: el imperialismo americano respaldado por el gobierno alemán. Su objetivo es crear una sociedad más humana pero, al emplear medios inhumanos, no sólo provocan terror y muerte, sino que ellos mismos se vuelven inhumanos. El hombre encargado de darles caza, el jefe de la policía alemana Horst Herold (Bruno Ganz), en el fondo los comprende. Historia de una familia italiana desde los años 60 hasta nuestros días. Dos hermanos, Nicola (Luigi Lo Cascio) y Matteo (Alessio Boni), comparten las mismas esperanzas, los mismos sueños; disfrutan de los mismos libros y de los mismos amigos hasta que conocen a una chica desequilibrada, Giorgia (Jasmine Trinca), que perturba su destino. Mientras Nicola ejerce como psicólogo, Matteo abandona sus estudios e ingresa en el cuerpo de policía.

Ernesto es un famoso pintor e ilustrador de cuentos para niños. Separado de su mujer, mantiene con su hijo una estrecha relación. Un día se entera de que a su madre la quieren beatificar. La noticia lo deja pasmado, no sólo por el hecho de que su familia se lo haya ocultado, sino también porque se trata de algo incompatible con sus ideas de artista libre y ateo. Sus familiares lo presionan para que participe en el proceso de beatificación e, inevitablemente surgen conflictos. Sin embargo, inesperadamente, el recuerdo de su madre y de su sonrisa harán que Ernesto reviva su pasado y cambie radicalmente su forma de vida.

Antonio is a man born with unusually large incisors; his freakishly huge teeth made him an outcast as a child and as man he has become obsessive and controlling in his relationships with women. Convinced that his girlfriend cheated on him (with her dentist, ça va sans dire), Antonio insults her in a fit of anger and in the fight she breaks off one of his teeth. Antonio now must travel across the country, going from dentist to dentist in search of someone who can make a crown that will suit his extra-large smile.
