Sound Recordist
Beatriz y Henrique se conocen, se enamoran y se casan cuando ella tiene 21 años. Henrique es un oficial de la marina y se embarca en el mar durante una temporada. Beatriz queda a cargo de sus seis hijos en casa. Un día muere de forma totalmente inesperada. Su hijo mayor es Jacinto, que desde la infancia ha soñado con convertirse en un pájaro. Jacinto es el padre de la directora Catarina Vasconcelos, cuya madre también falleció cuando ella tenía 17 años. Tras su muerte, Catarina empezó a trabajar en un proyecto llamado "La metamorfosis de los pájaros".

A partir de sus rostros, de la coreografía de sus gestos, desvelamos la historia que les une. Extraído de la vida cotidiana, ante nuestros ojos la película retrata un coro de afectos y la memoria colectiva de un país.

“Campo de Marte” (The Field of Mars) was in the ancient times Rome’s training arena for war. At the outskirts of Lisbon, “Campo” hosts today Europe’s largest military base. In this place military troops train fictional missions, astronomy aficionados observe the stars and a boy plays the piano for the wild deers lurking in the dark.

The National Ballet of Portugal is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Since its foundation, it has aimed to present the great classics, as well as to always welcome contemporary creations. Day-to-day life is demanding for dancers, choreographers, musicians, répétiteurs, seamstresses, light technicians, sound technicians, and other elements of a large staff that make it possible for dance to travel through the rehearsal rooms and linger in the hallways before making it onto the stage. This film follows not only the company’s creations and premieres, but mainly each dancer’s silent and structural work.

Sebastian is a wealthy young man. He finds out he has a flat tire and ends up accepting help from a Gypsy passer by. In return Sebastian will have to give him a ride home - but they won't reach their expected destination.

A film that develops through characters who have for their antagonist life itself, with nothing (and everything) heroic about it.
