The perception of food, its appealingness and palatability through a constructed image, come into play when observing these hand-crafted manufacturing processes through a camera. A phone conversation with the CEO of a Finnish future foods' start-up introduces us to a cutting edge technology consisting of the production of a new protein generated from water, electricity and CO2 captured from the air. "Solein" is a new technology that speculates with a near future without agriculture and land use effects.

El lobo ha dejado de habitar el territorio que una vez formó parte de sus dominios y es solo a través de sus contornos que podemos acercarnos a él; ruinas de trampas para lobos, orina de depredador importada de Estados Unidos, un muladar para alimentar aves carroñeras y arqueros que disparan a réplicas de animales. Reserve construye un relato sobre el frágil equilibrio de un territorio tras la desaparición del depredador, donde la compleja coexistencia entre humanos y no humanos presenta un ecosistema marcadamente antropogénico.

Almost two decades ago, the Itoiz dam flooded seven villages and three natural reserves on the Pyrenean hillside in Navarra. The ecologist group Solidari@s con Itoiz registered the fight against its construction. Today, those who were there dream of the land lying beneath the water on video. Their voices and gestures come together to tell the tale of an individual and collective mourning still suffered today.
