Protagonizada por los verdaderos participantes del exitoso concurso televisivo americano "Pop Idol" -un concurso para lanzar a jóvenes talentos de la canción: "Operación Triunfo" versión USA-, narra cómo dos jóvenes con poca fortuna, Kelly y Justin, se conocen durante las vacaciones de primavera -la famosa Spring Break- y se enamoran mientras pasan un rato de lo más divertido. El programa de televisión batió récords de audiencia, pero la película fue un rotundo fracaso de taquilla y obtuvo muy malas críticas.

This documentary chronicles the history of the outrageous spectacle and its creators, in particular performer/writer Alexis Pittman, who sero-converted in 1987 and credits the show with keeping him alive.
