A mother looks for magic in the lunar calendar. These events are commonplace for this seemingly normal family, revealing the fine line they live between fragility and absurdity. In the meantime, their country Bulgaria is shaken up by anti-gender and anti-equality protests with an undercurrent of violence. These women are united by a shared trauma, but now they are ready to confront their father’s troubling past.

La vida en una comunidad de viviendas municipales en el Londres del Brexitt se ve agravada debido a la gentrificación. Irina, una madre soltera de origen búlgaro que intenta triunfar como arquitecta y se niega a vivir de los subsidios como la mayoría de sus vecinos, lucha sin éxito para convencer a éstos de luchar contra el sistema. Cuando un gato aparece atrapado en su pared, la familia de Irina y algunos de sus vecinos entrarán en conflicto. Entonces Irina toma una decisión drástica para cambiar su vida.

Una rara noche familiar para Jay da un giro brutal cuando se despierta en un sótano con otros tres prisioneros. Mientras su vengativo captor se alborota, Jay se involucra en una batalla retorcida para resolver el rompecabezas de su pasado y salvar el futuro de su familia.

"Snow" is a film for the choice, betrayal and forgiveness between brothers and sons, narrated on the background of the harsh reality in an abandoned place.

A short retrospect into the life and work of the Manaki brothers. The film represents passion of having the first camera as well as the very beginnings of photography and movie making in the Balkans. The production employed original costumes and photography equipment from the era.
